OK

1) it seems like 5-10 FPS is too much on your machine :( can you please try
to record using screen-sharing applet BUT choose 5FPS and 640x480 area (not
full screen). Is the situation better in this case?

2) This is most probably caused by errors during conversion, can you please
open GUI go to recordings section, find recording that was failed and click
"error icon": you will get the full conversion log with failed parts in
red, can you share those?
