we are trying to model machines in OFBiz with products. They have a lot of parameters which want to use ConfigItem and ConfigOption. They also consist of several parts which we would like to model with products which can be chosen via Options connected to ProductConfigProduct. They also have parameters, so it would be nice for us to have nested configurable products. When we tried to connect an option to a configurable product via ProductConfigProduct and this configurable product has an option, this does not appear in the Webshop-GUI. Does this mean that the datamodel is not designed to support nested configurable products or is it just not supported in the Webshop-GUI or do I miss something. Also: when I configure a configurable product, I get a Configurable Product Configuration (which is a product) and the chosen options are connected via ProductConfigConfig. (Hope I understood that correctly.) If an option is connected to another product (via ProductConfigProduct), we have the connection to the configured product via the chosen ConfigOption. But if I had nested configurable products, I would have to create a Configurable Product Configuration for the subproduct and somehow connect this sub-Configured-Product with the main-Configured-Product. If nested configurable products are supported: how is this connection modelled? I hope my questions are understandable. Of course I am happy to provide more information if that's helpful.
