Sales Invoices can be created in the system by the following ways. 1) When the Sales Order gets completed in the system then a Sales Invoice gets created in the System. The payment associated with Sales Order creates an entry in the system as a "Customer Payment". All the Transaction and Gl related postings are done automatically. 2) You can manually create Sales Invoices directly in the system and with respect to that invoice you can do the manual entry of payment as well in the system. There are status transitions for Invoices as well as for the Payments in the system.
