The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Hive has invited Wechar Yu to become a committer and we are pleased to announce that they have accepted.
Wechar has been consistently contributing to the project since mid 2022. They have landed many enhancements and fixes in various areas of the project notably DirectSQL and partition handling significantly improving the overall reliability of the Hive metastore.
