Hi Team.

Due to the heavy use of iceberg-hadoop-catalog and hive_location_based_table by
our users, we are currently heavily relying on iceberg-hadoop-catalog.
hadoop_catalog was having a lot of problems, so we fixed it so that itcan
provide atomic operations. However, in the process of submitting a PR to the
community to fix hadoop-catalog, we have received feedback from a portion of
the iceberg community.
Many maintainers do not want to further maintain hadoop-catalog and even prefer
to remove it. If the community deletes the hadoopCatalog, then we won't be able
to use the location_based_table in hive.
What I want to know is, regarding location_based_table, does the hive community
still intend to maintain it? About hadoopcatalog, what is the community's
attitude towards it? Should I use other implementations of catalogues such as
nessie, jdbc etc?
I look forward to your reply.
Regards.
lisoda.
