Support Parquet through HCatalog

Hi all,



I’ve been asked to work with backporting the patch HIVE-8838.4.patch (from 
HIVE-8838<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-8838>) onto Hive to allow 
for parquet tables to be supported through HCatalog in versions of Hive pre 
3.0.0.

I was wondering if it would it be best for me to reopen the ticket, or should I 
open a new ticket for this?
