Hi there- I am a new Hive user, working at the US Census Bureau. I was interested in getting Hive running locally, but wanted to keep the dependencies isolated. I could find Hadoop and Hive Docker images, but not one that had both. Therefore, I present: WeeHive<https://github.com/xdgov/weehive>, a minimal-as-possible Hive deployment! This allows getting Hive up and running (for development, not production) in a handful of steps.
I'm new to Hadoop and Hive, so I'm sure there are improvements that could be made.
