+sergio Thank you for pointing this out. Based on what I see here https://github.com/apache/hive/blob/branch-2.1/pom.xml#L179 Hive 2.1 supports Sparks 1.6. There is a JIRA to add support for Spark 2.0 https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-14029 but that is available from Hive 2.2.x
I have created https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-16472 to fix the wiki for documentation issues and any bugs in the code if needed.
