Hi all,
I've been locally trying to build Hive 1.2.1 code for a project, and I have
a few questions regarding it -
1. When I build in the terminal (using -Phadoop-2 profile, -DSkipTest
flag), it works. Shows "BUILD SUCCESS". However, the code shows errors in
my IDE. Its not able to see any imported hadoop-2 files. I'm using netbeans
8.
However, when I add hadoop as a dependency in pom.xml of individual
modules and build, it works. I add the dependency in hadoop-2 profile part.
Why is this happening?
2. A very different question - which code actually opens the required files
during the planning phase, for external tables as in case of tables
declared over S3? Been trying to figure this one out for quite some time.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
