Hi Farah, #2 and #4 should be easy to figure by taking a look at the metastore scripts. For example, I took a quick look at https://github.com/apache/hive/blob/trunk/metastore/scripts/upgrade/mysql/hive-schema-0.10.0.mysql.sql and it seems like 128 is the answer to #4
#1 and #3 I am not entirely sure. I am not sure of any such restriction for #1. For #3 your best bet is to look at the ODBC driver code.
