Hi HBase Community, We plan to Kerberize our HBase 2.4.11 cluster, which currently has two-way replication enabled.
While reviewing the JIRA for Apache HBase — HBASE-29684 — I understand that there may be support for replication between Kerberized and non-Kerberized clusters. We are evaluating this approach as part of our migration strategy and would appreciate clarification from the community. Specifically: 1. Does HBase 2.4.11 support replication between a Kerberized and a non-Kerberized cluster or vice-versa 2. If supported, could you please share the recommended configuration steps and any required commands? 3. If this capability is not available in 2.4.11, could you confirm the exact HBase version where this feature is officially supported? Our goal is to enable security incrementally while maintaining replication continuity, so any guidance, caveats, or operational considerations would be greatly appreciated.
