Regarding Kerberos or NTLM, there are specific options that need to be
added to Guacamole to force the mode in certain situations. Sometimes it
works fine with the default, depending on whether the negotiation happens
correctly or not, but it can also require that the authentication flag be
provided to the FreeRDP library to force a certain mode.

However, as I mentioned, that was not the primary reason for switching back
to FreeRDP 2.x - it was the regression in Remote App support, completely
unrelated to Kerberos vs. NTLM authentication, that caused us to revert to
FreeRDP 2.x.
