    Thanks Jon.

    We are using *https://github.com/glyptodon/glyptodon-enterprise-
    player <https://github.com/glyptodon/glyptodon-enterprise-player>*
for playing guacamole recording file. As per 1.6.0-RC1, I see there
is an improvement where the server doesn't send a `sync` message if
there is no screen update. This glyptodon player relies heavily on
`sync` command which was getting received on every second. Now that
it has been removed, can you help me to understand which alternate
player can help to play these recordings OR any logic which can be
improved from our side to support the current behaviour.

You might look at this:

Jon, FYI: I think the issue with "sync" that you're referring to was not so much that there was a heavy reliance on "sync", but that there was a cosmetic bug in the player that caused the playback progress bar to only update when there is a new frame. See:

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-1803

If you use an older player that has this issue, recordings will still play, but the playback position indicator will confusingly appear to stop or stutter during lengthy frames. As long as you haven't paused playback, the player is still going and replaying frames at the correct rate.
