We also do this via a dummy connection, which is assigned to all (group). However, in our case mainly to offer the user the possibility to open the link in a new window (=> full screen). We have integrated Guacamole in our EGroupware as an iFrame. However, our users mostly want to use Guacamole in full screen (on the second monitor).

I have the same use case and what I did was adding a second dummy connection, then a field to enter the machine to restart/power-off and so on. That's far from perfect but I didn't found a better option (yet). Sam
