Hi,

I've some trouble setting up the guacd-service with audio-support.

On starting a VNC-session via Guacamole, I get these messages:
guacd[1932]: Failed to create secure directory
(/usr/sbin/.config/pulse): No such file or directory
guacd[1932]: guacd[1932]: INFO:#011Connecting to PulseAudio...
guacd[1932]: guacd[1932]: INFO:#011PulseAudio connection failed
guacd[1932]: Connecting to PulseAudio...
guacd[1932]: PulseAudio connection failed

guacd is managed by systemd and running as user "daemon" whose home is
/usr/sbin/.

When I start guacd as some other user having a "normal home", audio is
not working, but I don't get any further messages:
guacd[2255]: DEBUG: Client is using protocol version "VERSION_1_3_0"
guacd[2255]: INFO: Connecting to PulseAudio...
guacd[2255]: INFO: PulseAudio connection failed
guacd[2255]: DEBUG: Connecting via SSH for SFTP filesystem access.

When I start guacd as the same user running the vnc-session, audio is
working:
guacd[2370]: INFO: Connecting to PulseAudio...
guacd[2370]: INFO: Authorizing PulseAudio connection...
guacd[2370]: INFO: Sending client name...
guacd[2370]: INFO: PulseAudio now ready
guacd[2370]: INFO: Will use default sink: "auto_null"
guacd[2370]: INFO: Starting streaming from "Dummy-Ausgabe"
guacd[2370]: INFO: PulseAudio stream being created...
guacd[2370]: INFO: PulseAudio stream now ready

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04, TigerVNC and Guacamole on the same box.

So, how to setup guacd correctly?

Cheers, Volker
