Hey guys thanks! So firstly I tried TLS (and basically every other security setting) as David suggested. That didn't work unfortunately.
As for Darren's suggestions: I have only tried logging on as the Administrator (me) so far which should be allowed by default.(also it works from other rdp clients) libfreerdp and libxfreerdp are both version 1.1.0 which aptitude claims is the newest version. I am running Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS As I mentioned before rdesktop works but it is running on a different machine that has a GUI. It would be nice if I could narrow it down to libfeerdp from the terminal. Is there a newer version of libfreerdp?
