Could you please share the relevant error messages? Additionally, please check 
the org.apache.flink.table.factories.Factory file in the ./META-INF/services 
directory of the jar about the missing connector, to ensure that it contains 
the corresponding TableFactory class for this connector.

1. want to confirm.... personally written connectors can be placed in 
$FLINK_HOME/lib or a subdirectory. i got my prometheus connector in 
...HOME/lib/flink/
I have other connectors/jars in HOME/lib/fluss and HOME/lib/hive
i can see the relevant jar loaded in the echo of the CLASSPATH in the 
standalone log file.



If anyone sparks in writing connectors won't mind a look at what I've done and 
assist.
First/only error at this stage is when I do a select from the table created 
using flink sql it says the connector does not exist...


Java is not my wheelhouse at all, writing connectors, previous no experience.
