Hi Vijay, The FlinkKinesisProducer does not use blocking calls to the AWS KDS API. It does however apply backpressure (therefore effectively blocking all upstream operators) when the number of outstanding records accumulated exceeds a set limit, configured using the FlinkKinesisProducer#setQueueLimit method.
