Thanks, Lewis.  I created a ticket here:

For now I just copied the "cassandra" and "cassandra.in.sh" scripts
into my project, along with custom configuration files.  We already
have all of the necessary JARs in our project's "lib" directory, since
our code depends on them anyway.
