This article looks like it came out just one month ago or not even

And recommends 12-24 1-4TB disks in a JBOD configuration.  I know hadoop is 
used a lot in analytics but can also be used in some similar use cases as 
cassandra can because the performance tests out and about between the two are 
quite similar. (but maybe this recommendation is for analytic type use cases 
only?)

I was wondering what some on the cassandra list might think about that….it is 
interesting that they also recommend 64G of RAM as well.
