cassandra inside beanstalk?

    Hello;

    I would like to run cassandra inside beanstalk;
    http://aws.amazon.com/elasticbeanstalk/
    along with the distributed client application;

    this blog advises against it

    is it really so?
    can cassandra be tuned not to be a resource hog and co-exist
    peacefully with the client?
    can client take advantage of proximity running on the same node as
    cassandra?
