We've just upgraded beam to 2.63 and started prototyping and building on Beam YAML and we've been really happy and impressed with the APIs. A few times I've thought "I wish it had this xyz feature" and then discovered said feature (e.g. chain type pipelines, extra_transforms, and error_handling).
