Hi Jan,

Thanks for your reply, but is not what I want. I want
to extract the number part of the $ant.version
property. e.g.

Apache Ant version 1.7.0 compiled on April 8 2008

I just want the "1.7.0" part ant store it in another
property. Is possible with ant-contrib [1] but I don't
want to use third-party libraries.

Thanks,
