p4 sync task, view with white spoaces

Hello list,

I have a presumeably simple problem that I cannot solve right now: I  
want to sync a p4 view that has white spaces in the path, i.e.:
<p4sync view="//project foo/main/src/..."/>
I always get an error that shows that ant tried to sync "//project".

How do I work around this problem?
