What OS & processor arch. are you running this on? There's nothing in the ant tasks that I know of that ties them to the IBM JRE, but that doesn't mean that one (or more) of the classes the tasks depend isn't tied to the IBM JRE. I know it's a major customer pain, but unless you're running on Sun or HPUX the only VM we support is the IBM VM.
