just wondering - is there a roadmap for ant development? this is purely because there was talk about ant 2 at some point a while ago (Jan 2003), but I've not heard anything since :)

The concept of ant2 has been largely left behind. Ant 1.6 provides many of the features which were considered as Ant2 candidates. In fact, Ant 1.6 provides many more features than we thought about for Ant2 and probably some that were initially rejected for Ant2.
So, for at least the immediate future, we will be sticking with Ant 1.x development.
