Are you meaning the wa field of the summary line? There is no special 
change there.
The HD led also lights only (almost) once for each line that is 
displayed on the console.
Between each "booting process" line displayed there is an interval 
(about 5-15 secs) of time where nothing seems to happen!

The same happens for shutdown or for any console command.
