I have no reason to think it wouldn't, I'm just working on a college
project and needed to confirm a statement that it would.

That's sort of a silly question. I can probably build a distro that
can't run UML for some reason. Presumably, you're interested in a
particular distro, not any that currently exists or may ever exist.
