I started the rngd daemon on the uml with kernel 2.6.26rc6 but sshd 
failed again.
This is what the logs showed:

I tried again with kernel 2.6.26-rc5 (without skas4 compiled in) and 
with this kernel, ssh works.

So it seems like some things changed between rc5 and rc6.
