-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi UML people,
I'd like to be able to use i386 applications under a x86-64 UML (and who doesn't? :/ ) Following a discussion today with jdike on IRC, we had the idea of trying to compile a 32-bit UML using a 64-bit toolchain, with the nesting level set to 1, and try to run that "cross-UML" as a nested guest inside a "real" x86-64 UML. So I logged in on my x86-64 host and tried make ARCH=um SUBARCH=i386 but I ran into really nasty error messages deep inside the glibc headers. Has anyone succeeded in building a "cross-UML" (even without the nesting)? Could you please advise on what combination of Linux version, patches, and build tools I should use? Thanks in advance, - -- << Tout n'y est pas parfait, mais on y honore certainement les jardiniers >> Dominique Quatravaux <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iQCVAwUBRx4ZpPTYH7KfeIIFAQJKdQQAl+tfDmX9L5lY/3TVWXfmOCCrH0jlKjVD 8bjVR3puxK/ijBuC5aPxwUps5jdCe5NiXhrexWJYM7JlTlIo0mQp2tef2AfJ7xZ6 s+VZYWPE2Zq2F1+6qUeAgJM6unCWyX7/OmbujZTqx+b98EAwasPWCKrIFX0/Metf 8rKWutuGE6s= =0d/X -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
