What's the most recent UML kernel you tried?
It was 2.6.23 one from Nagafix and one self compiled.
What does strace say about the hung UML?
I didn't do it yet. Because the problem seemed to be connected with using a 64 bit Linux inside domU. After installing a 32 bit Linux as domU on top ofthe 64 bit dom0 (which is possible since Xen 3.1.0) it worked. So I am not sure
what the real problem is with the 64 bit domU but if you like I will make a strace and send you the output.
Can you run the same kernel version as dom0 and domU and see if UML behaves the same?
I have done it and it worked inside the Dom0.
