Are there any security issues with allowing a UML to fiddle a serial port with stty? I can't think of any. There's no reason I can't pass through the ioctls, but I'd like to know which ones they are. Can you see if there's anything in the UML dmesg about unknown ioctls, and send me a strace of the stty running on either the host or UML?
