UML playing the role of a router talking with another UML playing the role of another router. A serial line (or something playing that role) linking both with ppp doing the transport of packets.
The reason for this is educational. UML has a greate educational potential. Students, and schools, with few resources, can make possible the study/education on computer networks. If you use ethereal, or tcpdump, and UML guests connected as a network, plus the rigths books, tutorials and labs, then you have a valuable learning environment. The better it will be as more real the cenario can get.
