I had same problem with FC7 and kernel 2.6.21. It used to hang at "VFS: mount root (ext3 filesystem) readonly." But after applying the patch from mail by jeff, its working fine. http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg04838.html The problem is still persistant in case of Fedora core.
