You probably misread his sentence - for TLS any 2.6 host suffices, but you 
need a very recent UML guest (TLS was merged in 2.6.17 or 2.6.18, I don't 
recall - the patch is available as an addon on my website but I recommend 
upgrading unless you find UML regressions).
