That's what I'm currently doing but I always have to ask myself: is this feature in the RHEL kernel or not and how mature is it in comparison to the kernel that I'm currently using (2.6.17.9). I actually didn't even think of the idea until I ran into a case where I needed kernel support for the setup to work (related to load balancing) and when I ran across a bunch of OpenVZ kernels targetted specifically at people wanting to test RHEL v4 kernels under OpenVZ. > But if you really want to use 2.6.9, you may be able to find some kernel > patches to make it a bit more stable (usable) here: > http://www.user-mode-linux.org/~blaisorblade/patches/guest/ > > But considering the amount of bug fixes that have gone in since Feb 2005 > I would seriously consider using a more stable kernel. > -- Mathew Brown [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- http://www.fastmail.fm - Choose from over 50 domains or use your own ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
