This is very ok.

I think this is not a good idea - you'd better work on the Wiki together with 
other people.

"I never had time to keep the old Linux-MM website updated, so I have 
converted it all to a wiki."

I.e., I propose _moving_ the documentation altogether to the Wiki. For what I 
usually see, most sites keep site structure (news + downloads + whatever 
else) on conventional static pages and docs on the wiki.

This would also concentrate more people on the wiki and move nearer to its 
critical mass, where there are enough users to make it really up-to-date and 
informative.

Additionally, about "what newbies need", I think they're in desperate need of 
very short "tutorials", detailing the common case and linking to the full 
descriptions.

To use networking you don't need to choose between 6 different transports with 
thorough description of them; that's needed, but the newbie needs an 
introduction.
