Just a follow up,

The problem was not from UMl, but from RPM.

All the issue is that the error message was misleading, it should have been
"you need 27MB more on your file system".

It is now working, and sorry for bothering you.

I've considered this to be yum lossage.  Do you have reason to think that
it's a UML problem?
