I started from the Luca Bigliardi's patch (downloaded from uml.org) and applied on 2.6.0-9 kernel version, as from suggestion. It failed to apply in different hints, but many succeded. What I planned is: - to see if the starting kernel source (from kernel.org) differs (and how it differs from what expected) from what the patch supposed to expect; - to try to produce a *clean* patch for 2.6.0; - to try to apply the clean to 2.6.8 (since it is officially included in Debian Sarge and to see the feasability to make it available for all); - to see the impact on newer kernel version; I need time. I also planned to inform of all the steps. Happy GNU/year 2006.
