I've been working with UML for quite a while.
Lately I upgraded to FC4 (which has forced me to upgrade the UML as well).
So I now have a 2.6.13.3 UML kernel, root_fs=FC2.
Since this upgrade the UML seems a lot more unstable. It crashes a lot
(wher it almost never crashed before).
One major bother is that it crashes when I try to rmmod a kernel
object.
Has anyone else experienced such beheaviour?
Does anyone have a solution?
Ok, this is interesting and new. And it's a bug. Could you post more details?
Such as "any module / this module", the crash output (if any). And whether
you're on x86 or on x86_64.
I was wrong. I had a kernel with module unloading support, but a module
that was compiled against a kernel with no module unloading support.
I had thought insmod would warn agaist it. Evidently it does not (cannot).
I have an egg on my face.
