The doc is a bit outdated - you'd better leave out TT mode, and enable static linking - that should support upto 2,5G+ of RAM.

HIGHMEM still exists, but is slower. See below about enabling it.

I think there's hardly any need to do that except for legacy and backwards compatibility issues. But thanks anyway =:)
