Hi, I am running the linux-2.6.12-skas3-v9-pre7 kernel on my
host and the linux-2.6.12-bs9 user-mode-linux kernel. I am trying to get user-mode-linux running so that I can
experiment with setting up virtual networks with the aid of projects such as
VNUML (http://jungla.dit.upm.es/~vnuml/),
netkit (http://www.netkit.org/), and
umlazi (http://www.umlazi.org/). However,
all of these projects have problems booting guest filesystems. In further
exploration, I tried to get uml to load the filesystems on the user-mode-linux
page (http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/dl-sf.html).
Slackware loads fine, but the red hat 7.2-full filesystem hangs while booting. I am still very new to linux and user-mode-linux, so if you
would like to see any other log files, etc., please ask and I’ll try to
get them. Below is the output of booting Redhat 7.2 with uml. Ernie Fontes [EMAIL PROTECTED] Desktop]# linux
