I don't know how active it is now, but it would certainly be nice to have.

The current sbuml is totally standalone, in the sense that it doesn't plug
into swsusp or anything.  Last I looked at swsusp, that was a good thing.
Maybe it's different now, and it makes sense to plug into it.

In any case, having a reasonable suspend to disk would be good.
