remove your /lib/tls directory as tls is not supported in uml. having a tls active libc can couse other weird problems anytime. also pay attention to it whenever you upgrade your libc package, it will create it again.
i moved /lib/tls to /lib/tls.bak (just to be sure everything else works ;) and it works! thanks for your help!
