Although others are more qualified to answer this, I will give a
simple answer:

 - SKAS3 will never be merged with the mainline kernel. Some things
 are less than optimal.

 - SKAS4 is supposed to be coming at some point, which would have a
 bit of a different interface, which is supposed to be merged with the
 mainline kernel.

 - SKAS0 is a new thing, that actually gives you the benefits of SKAS
 mode without needing any patches at all. It is still experimental,
 but growing better. It might be that this will be the default some
 day, and no SKAS patch will ever go to the mainline kernel.

So - short answer - not anytime soon.
