But you are using DevFS on your guest and don't have updated /etc/inittab (and 
possibly /etc/securetty and so on) to use the DevFS console names, so the 
console startup fails... I'd suggest NOT using DevFS and creating by 
hand /dev/ubd[0-7].

Otherwise, if you open the rootfs in your host, you can setup devfsd to run 
and supply the compatibility entries.
