The best host kernel is a 2.4 + SKAS3-v3, the best guest kernel is 2.6.9-bb4.
I've not tested plain 2.6.10 as guest, but nobody has yet done it, it seems!

Use at least 2.4.25 with SKAS-v3 (any later 2.4 kernel is Ok, I'd recommend
using the latest 2.4 one for the various security issues and improvements -
2.4 is reliable now).

A 2.6 as host is not very good because currently the latest 2.6 has problems
with UML and the earlier ones have security issues. Indeed, if you use 2.6.10
+ SKAS as host and 2.6.9-bb4 as guest, it should work well (though somebody
is having little problems). But 2.4 as host is better.
