While I don't think there exists strictly an EOL policy for STK (there is an [url=https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS/End-of-life+policyhttp://]EOL policy for Magnolia[/url] generally), I wonder if there is anything you can do right now with STK that you could not do by jumping to [url=https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS54/MTE+and+STK]MTE[/url]? The official Magnolia line is that there will be no further development on STK. Your other questions will be easier to answer after you've looked at those links and we know what version you're on or plan to move to.
