Jackrabbit clustering works with a journal that can either be stored in a database or on a filesystem. If you use a database for clustering, you don't need a shared filesystem.
The Magnolia documentation on clustering highlights the database-based solution: https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS/Clustering The Jackrabbit clustering documentation mentions both the database and filesystem journal options: http://wiki.apache.org/jackrabbit/Clustering There are a lot of options for setting up a shared filesystem across multiple servers if you don't want to use the database for this. Wikipedia is a good starting point to learn more about clustered file systems is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clustered_file_system for some My experience is that they're not as easy to setup and maintain as a database. -- Context is everything: http://forum.magnolia-cms.com/forum/thread.html?threadId=8e279956-f27e-4ce7-9320-f1ddb4d022da ---------------------------------------------------------------- For list details, see http://www.magnolia-cms.com/community/mailing-lists.html Alternatively, use our forums: http://forum.magnolia-cms.com/ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <user-list-unsubscr...@magnolia-cms.com> ----------------------------------------------------------------
