Dear Magnolians We have several Magnolia installations (Mag EE 5.3.10, Mag CE 5.3.8, Mag CE 5.4.1) where the roles are not visible for a user with the "superuser" role. The list of roles in the security app is empty (or contains only the "rest" role) and even when looking at the jcr dump, the roles are not displayed. Other than that, everything works fine (permissions, login etc.).
We have not been able to reliably reproduce this: - It works fine on demoauthor.magnolia-cms.com - It works fine on a 5.3.8 installation on a dev machine but not for the same installation on the test environment - On the servers where the roles are not visible, things behave the same if I create the role from scratch or duplicate the superuser Any ideas what might be causing this or how to debug?
